Why Me?

I grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Florida with my family when I was in my mid-thirties. I love quotes, podcasts, gardening, yoga, meditation, fiction and non-fiction media. I also love being in the woods, hiking in the mountains, soaking in the sun, watching sunrises on the beach and relaxing and laughing in my house with my family. As a mother of 3 adults, 2 Rottweilers and a Siamese cat, and as a wife, friend, and daughter, I have great capacity for love and nurturing, mixed with support and accountability, to help faciliate growth and forward momentum.

My name is Stacy Sechrist, and I bring over 25 years of experience in the mental health and wellness field as a teacher/trainer, licensure supervisor, clinical program developer, change management specialist, entrepreneur, executive, trained life coach, and provider of mental health therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. Before creating StacyD Services, I served as the Chief Operations Officer for a nonprofit, where I also held the responsibilities of Human Resources, a Finance Director, Government Contracts & Compliance Director and Information Technology & Systems Director.

Organizationally, I have created and implemented several trauma informed mental health programs. The first was a multi-disciplinary mental health program at the Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center in Gettysburg, PA, and later, I partnered with a pain management physician in Jacksonville, FL to help patients release dependence on pain medications and transition to healthier methods of managing their chronic pain. Over the years, I’ve developed curriculums for providing whole person-centered programming for pediatric chronic disease patients, palliative care patients, individuals experiencing substance use and addiction, and low-resourced psychiatric populations. Serving as the lead clinical role in management and various C-Suite positions for mental health organizations, responsible for the quality & efficacy of service delivery and efficiency of operations, I learned early on that taking care of people and helping them survive and thrive is at the heart of any area of improved performance.

On the individual basis, I’ve worked with ages three and up across residential programs, elementary, secondary & post-secondary schools, communities, several Medicaid, third party & government victim funding, self-established private practices—using modalities such as play therapy, sand tray, evidenced based art techniques for trauma processing, cognitive behavioral therapies, eye movement trauma processing techniques, hypnotherapy, and insight-oriented coaching. Through my direct work with students, clients, patients, employees, and executives—as well as my experience creating businesses and overseeing operations across diverse environments and models of care service delivery—I bring a comprehensive perspective to both individual and organizational growth. With each person I have the pleasure of working with, I take a whole-person and system approach. In today’s world of overstimulation—whether from trauma, chronic stress, or the relentless pace of life, expectations and media—everyone can benefit from reconnecting with their bodies and minds to heal, reset, and grow.

George Lucas once said, “We are all living in cages with the door wide open.” That truth underpins my philosophy. I believe our lives hold far more opportunities for freedom and joy than we often realize—but to claim them, we must be willing to create change within ourselves. My own story of focusing inward for change began as a 19-year-old mother with a two-year-old son, determined to find my way out of the cage. My personal and professional journey has taught me that the time between sessions matters as much as the sessions themselves. The daily choices, mindset shifts, and habits are what anchor and sustain lasting change. That’s why I bring a practical, down-to-earth, and straightforward approach to my work—genuine, authentic, and rooted in both accountability and care. I believe the foundations of healing and growth—whether for individuals, organizations, communities, or society as a whole—are self-awareness, self-trust, boundaries, responsibility and accountability.

Whatever challenges you or your organization face, you’ll be met with compassion, respect, and professionalism. My role is to provide a space where emotions, thoughts, and experiences can be explored openly—because meaningful change requires trust, honesty, and psychological safety at every level.

    Compassion That’s Personal and Practical
I care deeply about helping people and organizations move beyond limiting patterns—the feeling of being stuck when the door is already open. Having walked this journey myself and continuing to do the work daily, I bring authenticity, empathy, and actionable strategies to help clients and teams step into freedom, alignment, and sustainable growth.

Support That Lasts Beyond the Session
Transformation doesn’t end when the session does. Individuals and organizations leave with tools, practices, and strategies to apply immediately. Clients and teams also receive secure access for ongoing support between sessions—because consistent guidance and accountability are what make lasting change possible.

What to Expect In Session

Our first meeting is designed to explore the whole system: individual, group, team or organizations goals, challenges, daily workflows, and the outcomes you want to achieve. Using a whole-person and whole-system approach, we examine the various areas influencing performance and engagement—relationships, work dynamics, health, habits, and mindset—so we can see the bigger picture and identify what’s shaping results. This session also establishes a foundation of trust, psychological safety, and alignment that makes lasting transformation possible.

From there, each interaction builds momentum toward meaningful change, with individualized tools, techniques and ongoing assessment of progress toward goals. We always begin with a check-in to assess current progress and focus areas, then move into practices and strategies tailored to meet participants exactly where they are. Individual and group interactions incorporate grounding or centering techniques to help individuals and teams step away from distractions, focus fully, and engage in work that drives results and forward movement.

Your journey is guided by The StacyD Whole-Person Method, a structured yet flexible framework designed to deliver sustainable growth for individuals and organizations:
